Focus on th Citizens’ Sport Conference

The Citizens’ Sports Conferences (CSC) return in 2025, with an edition placed under the sign of movement, in every sense of the word.
Organised by the Sport and Citizenship think tank, the event brings together voices from the world of sport, civil society, local authorities and the private sector to debate key social issues and build practical solutions.

The goal: to give concrete meaning to the social legacy of the Paris 2024 Games, and to show how sport can, and must, be a tool for health, inclusion, and transition.

Three workshops to rethink the future of sport (14h)

The discussions will take place in three interactive workshops, interspersed with keynotes and inspiring testimonials from practitioners, experts and institutions.

🏙️ Can tomorrow’s cities be designed for physical activity?

What if being active became as natural as breathing? Urban planners, local authorities and sport actors will explore how to create more vibrant, inclusive, and “active” cities, where movement becomes part of daily life.

🤝 Can sports clubs become engines of social impact?

A sports club is no longer just a place to train, it’s a local hub for connection and education. How can clubs strengthen their social role and contribute to inclusion, equality and community life? Inspiring initiatives from the field will illustrate how sport can become a real force for civic engagement.

💶 Towards new models of public/private funding?

With limited public resources, sport needs new alliances. Philanthropy, impact investing, hybrid partnerships, how can we build a sustainable and collective economic model?

The three workshops will take place simultaneously. When registering, you will be asked to select the one you wish to attend.

Plenary session – Sport and mental health: moving body and mind

Two round tables will explore the connection between movement, balance and performance.
The first will focus on mental health as a tool for prevention and resilience, while the second will examine the pressures of high performance and the growing importance of well-being among athletes.
Champions, doctors, researchers and leaders will share their experiences and perspectives on a topic long kept in the shadows.

Social Impact Trophies: rewarding those who make a difference (19h)

To close the day, Sport and Citizenship will present the Social Impact Trophies, celebrating four outstanding initiatives assessed by the think tank for their measurable social impact.
Clubs, associations, institutions or communities, all use sport as a lever for change.
These awards recognise concrete, inspiring commitments and highlight a vision of sport that is more ethical, more inclusive, and more human.
