Article 1 – Legal Information
Pursuant to Article 6 – III of Law No. 2004-575 of June 21, 2004, on “Confidence in the Digital Economy,” the identity of the various stakeholders involved in the creation and monitoring of the website is specified in this article.
This website (“Site”) is the property of the Sport et Citoyenneté association, whose headquarters are located at 2 rue de la chambre aux deniers, Building A, 49000 Angers, France.
The purpose of the association is the study and promotion of the fundamental values of sport, aiming to serve society through every citizen. The association’s revised bylaws date from June 15, 2023, and are accessible here (in French).
The Site is published under the responsibility of the Publication Director: Julian Jappert (contacts@sportetcitoyennete.com).
This site was voluntarily created (design, development, and layout) by Luis Ramos, web developer. Sport et Citoyenneté thanks him for the time he has devoted to the association.
The Site is hosted by OVH, located at 2, rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix (France), registered with the Lille Trade and Companies Register under number 537 407 926.
All internet users browsing, reading, viewing, and using the Sport et Citoyenneté Site are considered “Users.”
Article 2 – Accessibility
The Site is, in principle, accessible to Users 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except in cases of scheduled or unscheduled interruptions for maintenance purposes or in cases of force majeure.
In case of an inability to access the Site, every effort will be made to restore access. However, the Site cannot be held liable for any damage, regardless of its nature, resulting from its unavailability.
Article 3 – Cookie Policy
The Site may use “cookies” to process traffic information and statistics, facilitate navigation, and improve the service for the User.
In accordance with European legislation, the Site has updated its privacy and cookie policy. Users are free to accept or reject cookies by modifying their web browser settings.
Article 4 – Protection of Written Content
The Site is protected by copyright law in accordance with Article L122-4 of the French Intellectual Property Code.
Any total or partial reproduction or representation of the Site’s content without the author’s or rights holder’s consent is prohibited.
Article 5 – Right to Image
The Site ensures that everyone has exclusive rights to their image and how it is used.
Therefore, individuals may oppose the reproduction and distribution of their image. The publication of photos or videos featuring people on the Site will be done in accordance with the protective principles of the modified Law of January 6, 1978, and the guarantees under image rights.
Article 6 – Protection of Images Used on the Site
All images used on this Site are governed by copyright law, and any reproduction or reuse on any paper or electronic medium is strictly prohibited without the express authorization of the Publication Director. In general, reproduction rights are reserved and strictly limited.
Article 7 – Collection of Personal Data
Sport et Citoyenneté informs Users of the existence of a file containing personal data.
These data are subject to the right of access, modification, rectification, and deletion by the concerned Users and are not subject to dissemination.
Users are informed via these Legal Notices and Terms of Use that any responses requested are optional.
Sport et Citoyenneté takes all necessary measures to ensure the security of this personal information. However, as a non-profit association, it is exempt from declaring its member and donor databases to the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority).
Article 8 – Liability of the Association
Before publishing or modifying content on its Site, Sport et Citoyenneté ensures it has taken all necessary steps to verify the reliability of the information.
However, Sport et Citoyenneté cannot be held liable for any errors, omissions, or outcomes resulting from the use of this information provided to Users.
Article 9 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Legal Notices and Terms of Use are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute and in the absence of an amicable resolution, the matter shall be brought before the French courts in accordance with applicable jurisdiction rules.
