The Volunteering in School Sport project is launched !
The Volunteering in School Sport (V2S) project was kicked off on 18 and 19 January. This EU-funded initiative is led by the International School Sport Federation, with the support of 6 national school sport federations, Hope for Children Hungary and the Sport and Citizenship think tank.
The project will promote voluntary activities in sport through increased participation in sport for all. It aims at involving and empowering more young volunteers to take responsibilities at various levels in school sport organisations. Throughout the project, partners will help them experiment and implement the needed structural changes for this to happen by:
- Exchanging on situations and best practices on youth volunteering
- Help young volunteers understand the significance of their engagement through the recognition of the skills they develop
- Create space and opportunities for young volunteers to take responsibilities during the project period and beyond
The project will last from January 2017 until March 2018.
