Project PACTE to hold first workshop on Active Cities in Liverpool on 15-16 November
Workshop Objective
With over 200 million inactive citizens, physical inactivity has become one of the most pressing challenges in Europe. Despite growing scientific evidence and political attention on the benefits of promoting healthy lifestyles at national and European levels in recent years, the sedentary crisis is developing.
We believe there is an opportunity to reverse this trend and that cities have a fundamental role to play. What role can a city play? What are the main elements of an Active City?
This workshop is open to anyone from city leaders, local representatives, urban planners to experts involved in promoting physical activity in urban areas. It will explore, discuss and challenge the main elements of an Active City.

The workshop will start at 13.00 on Thursday 15th November and finish at 13.30 on Friday 26th November but participants are invited to attend an optional field trip during the afternoon of Friday 26th November from 13.30.
