Slovenia takes up presidency of the Council of the European Union
For the second time, Slovenia is holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union between 1 July and 31 December 2021. In its six-month programmes, the Slovenia Presidency has mentioned sport and intends to be focused on several actions. Highlight the special nature of sport, focus on the impact of closed sports competitions on the organized sport system, establish and implement the concept of lifelong physical activity, are one of the key measures announced.
