The world football body, FIFA, launched the #ReachOut campaign
On 2 August, FIFA launched an UN-backed campaign to raise awareness of potentially damaging mental health issues and encourage people everywhere to seek help when they need it. Associated with the World Health Organization and the influential Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the #ReachOut campaign aims to underscore how important it is to spot symptoms of deteriorating mental health early.

African Union and FIFA commit to build on positive results and to accelerate collaboration
Two years to the day of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations, African Union (AU) Chairperson Félix Tshisekedi and FIFA President Gianni Infantino have discussed an action plan that will accelerate several aspects of the agreement aimed at contributing for the benefit of African society, and, in particular, younger generations.
FIFA and WHO #ACTogether to tackle COVID-19
FIFA was teaming up with the World Health Organization (WHO) to promote the need for fair access to COVID-19 vaccines, treatments and diagnostics, and to encourage people to keep practicing life-saving, everyday public health measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to protect health.
