10th anniversary

Over the course of these years we have had the pleasure of hosting important people in these columns: front ranking political personalities, people in charge of sport, champions from all disciplines and also well-known academics and intellectuals for whom talking about the impact of sport on society was not necessarily self-evident. We have helped to make this topic a legitimate field of study and a political priority which is now part of the agenda for French and European public authorities: this is not the least of our achievements.

With this “Special 10^th anniversary” revue we have decided to republish 10 significant interviews with political and sporting personalities from the last ten years. These ten interviews have made a big impression on our structure in one way or another, and they show the wealth of people we have spoken to.

In this revue you will also fine three new contributions: a foreword from the new French Minister of Sport, Laura Flessel, who, before being given this major responsibility, was always interested in the work of our Think Tank; an interview with the European Commissioner for Sport, Tibor Navracsics, who gives us an exclusive account of his actions in the two and a half years since he took office, and finally a contribution from our President, Laurent Thieule, who sets out the prospects for our activities in the ten years to come.
